mack mistress are you equal with bill gates? probably no right? whats your goal in life? to be as rich as bill gates? well that would drive the economy upwards not downwards...

IMO, they should cut back the drop rate of ectos would be a good start.
like maybe .0001%. make them really "rare" crafting material.
to discourage those 24/7 bot UW farmer. MAKE EM REALLY RARE!!!! rarer than eternal swords!
|
I take it you have stacks and stacks of them you paid way to much for, now you can't your money back
Anyway this is a pretty dumb statement "discourage those 24/7 bot UW farmer". Why would changing the drop rate discourage them -- They are BOTS, they don't care.
All this would do is discourage real players even further, who are trying to get what they need for armor or what not.
Sorry this thread:

First the Top part. I am an average casual gamer and i care what items i have, i like having stuff i find "good" and having 100k+ is never bad. So your opinion of average gamers just failed. Moving on to the bottom part.

Ehh, the economy was broken before loot scaling. Now that loot scaling has been implemented everything is dropping back to the price it should be.

The thing is my dear, this is a game. I could not care less about your comparisons. Also don't assume you know anything about me, it makes you look silly.
You lost me when you started talking about communists.

again, your saying your a casual player, so, if you find a good item you have every right to keep that, im not saying you should buy all the rare stuff, i wasnt forcing you to sell that? so what do you care if their uber rich people?would that decrease your chance of getting good items....

There is an unlimited supply of all in-game items. The only limiting factor is the number of chances these items have to drop and time. Since we're talking about a game that's been played by 1000's of people, pretty much nonstop for a few years, the market is going to be quite saturated.
In real life, it is scarcity and demand the drives prices up; neither of which truly exist in GW. You want to drive prices up? Then you have to set a finite number of an item in circulation, and only release them back into circulation once some have been used up. Could you imagine how awful things would be if there could only be X ectos in existence at any given time, and how ridiculous their price would be?

Economy is not economy in game or life. Real life has finite available resources, a game has unlimited supply. We aren't talking food/heat/shelter here, we are talking ectos and other pixels. There is a virtually unlimited supply of these things, 24/7 for years now. There are traders for sales and purchases in every major outpost.
Even if the drop rate of ecto for example is decreased, there are still how many in existence? Yes, the price would go way up, but the result would be rich owners and many more ppl running UW farm builds. Eventually, they'd be right where they are now again. The main reason the have value left after how farmed they are is a)some leave circulation with crafting and b) ppl tend to sell private and stash them to use as currency. If ppl didn't use em as currency, they'd be much lower anyway. People would probably just use something else.
Your communism argument is not terribly thought out tbh. I'm not proposing everyone be equal, you were proposing what seemed to me to be make the rich richer and poor poorer. Not seeing that as any kind of solution to what you see as "broken" doesn't make me Soviet Russia lol.
Yes, we need more gold sinks. I'd love to see armors/weapons etc I want or need to work for again. I just think your "solution"...isn't a solution at all.
